We can attend to plumbing related domestic emergencies such as burst water pipes

Charges for attending emergencies are more than those for standard callouts owing to the immediate nature of the problem. We also make additional charges outside normal working hours.

Our first priority is to make your installation safe and to stop any leaks. Where the emergency callout is outside working hours, we may opt to postpone remedial works to normal working hours for reasons of economy for you and us.

For standard callout we will endeavor to give you an estimate over the phone of how long the job will take and how much it will cost. This is purely based on the quality of information given by you, and the estimate is not a fixed price and could be more or less depending on what the engineer finds at your premises. Once at your premises our engineer will endeavor to establish details of the problem and give you a more accurate estimate of how much the work will cost. If the engineer cannot do the work straight away, he will let you know. If parts need to be ordered we will order the parts and contact you take make another appointment. In other circumstances we will generally try to arrange a another appointment with you straight away.

Where we attend a standard callout for you, we do not charge a callout fee. However we do charge for the first hour regardless of how long the work takes. This will generally be required to be paid in cleared funds upon arrival (usually in cash), unless we have worked for you before. Works outside the first hour are charged in half-hour segments.

We generally request that works are paid for in advance. At present we do not have credit card or cheque clearance facilities, so payments will be required in cash.

We also do not provide credit facilities, but would be quite happy to setup a credit account for you and hold a retainer (subject to mutual agreement) on account for future works

For longer works we may accept a partial payment at the start and stage payments during the course of the work for labour charges. Materials will generally need to be paid for before work commences.

Generally we ask for payments in advance of works being carried out. For new customers we require payments for all works to be paid in advance of any works in cleared funds (generally cash payments)

Standard Callout

This is where the work to be carried out is of a callout nature (generally work lasting less than one day). We will try to book you in for an appointment which is as soon as possible, and at a time convenient for both you and us.

Emergency callout

This is the same as standard callout work, with the exception that a rapid response is required, and works may be required to be carried out outside office hours

Standard Works

All jobs/works that fall outside the above are classified as standard works.

 

On request we can provide a free estimate for standard works to be carried out, which we may be able to provide over the phone or generally we would need to make a short visit to your premises. The estimate is provided as a cost approximation, and is therefore NOT a fixed price. Where the works take us longer than we have estimated or materials are more expensive, we will need to pass these costs on to you.

On request we can provide a quotation for standard works. The quotation could be quite time consuming to produce and it's required specification, and therefore the work required to produce it is chargeable.
